Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the 46th BCS notification. 3 thousand 140 candidates will be appointed in different cadres in this BCS. According to the last 10 BCS, a record number of posts have been notified this time. Out of this, the most 1 thousand 698 posts are in health cadre. Online applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill the vacant posts in various cadres through competitive 46th BCS Examination-2023.

Conditions for Applying in 46th BCS Notification:

Age limit: Age as on 01 November 2023

Sons and daughters of freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters, disabled candidates and B.C.S. Age 21 to 30 years (Date of Birth: between 02.11.2002 to 02.11.1993) for candidates of all other cadres except candidates of (Health) Cadre.
Sons and daughters of freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters, disabled candidates and B.C.S. (Health) Cadre Candidates Age 21 to 32 Years (Date of Birth: Between 01.11.2002 to 02.11.1991)
B.C.S. (General Education) and B.C.S. Age 21 to 32 years (Date of Birth: between 02.11.2002 to 2.11.1991) in case of minority candidates only for (Technical Education) Cadre.
Application form will not be accepted if the candidate is under or over age.

Web Address: http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd or Bangladesh Public Works Commission Web Address: www.bpsc.gov.bd Online registration by filling the online application form (BPSC Form-1) prescribed by the commission within the prescribed time. Activities and fee submissions must be completed. 46th B.C.S. Exam-2023 notification, detailed instructions to fill online application form and prescribed BPSC Form-1 will be visible.

46th BCS Notification Recruitment Online Application Fee Submission Procedure:

You will get a User ID in the Applicant’s Copy that will be given to you after completing the 46th BCS Exam Form online correctly. Application fee should be submitted using this User ID. 46th BCS by sending 02 SMS to any Teletalk Pre-paid Mobile number. You can deposit 700/- (Seven Hundred) rupees for exam-2023 fee. As per Rule 9(4)(b) of the same rules candidates belonging to minority groups, disabled and candidates of third gender for the examination fee of Tk 100/- (One Hundred). Application fee should be paid through SMS.

You can submit the application fee by sending only 02 SMS from Teletalk Pre-paid SIM in the following method. The procedure is taken from 46th BCS Notification 2023. Caught below.

1st SMS: Send BCS <space> User ID to 16222
2nd SMS: BCS <space> Yes <space> Enter PIN and send to 16222.
Note: After sending the first SMS, you will be given a PIN number in the return SMS which you will use in the second SMS.

If the second SMS is sent correctly, you will be given a password in the return SMS which should be saved with the User ID. User ID and Password will be useful later to download admit card.

Candidates can recover their User ID and Password from Teletalk Pre-paid Mobile number only by following the below mentioned SMS procedure.

If User ID is known : BCS <space> Help <space> User ID & Send to 16222.

46th BCS Exam Admit Card Download:
As per the instructions of paragraph 12.0 of the notification, after paying the prescribed examination fee, the candidate can download and collect the admit card containing the registration number automatically prepared on the basis of selection using the User ID and Password received in the sms message sent from Teletalk from February 15, 2024. The download of admit card will be informed in due time through sms message through teletalk.

Conditions for Participation in 46th BCS Exam:

According to the provisions of BCS (Age, Qualification and Test for Direct Recruitment) Rules-2014, the Public Service Commission conducts the following 3-level recruitment test for the purpose of selecting suitable candidates for Bangladesh Civil Service.

1. bcs application MCQ Type Preliminary Test I of 200 marks.
2. Written Test of 900 Marks for Candidates Qualified in Preliminary Test.
3. Oral test of 200 marks for candidates who qualify in the written test.

Only the candidates who qualify the written test will be given the opportunity to participate in the oral test. All the candidates are required to produce the following documents at the time of oral examination. Original copy must be produced. 01 attested copy of each should be taken along.

All levels of educational qualification certificate.
Citizenship certificate.
Certificate obtained from social service office in case of physical disabilities.
Freedom fighter certificate of candidates applying for freedom fighter quota.
Character certificate.
Father’s ID card or birth certificate.

46th BCS Preliminary Test Probable Dates:

46th B.C.S. Exam-2023 preliminary test may be held in the month of March 2024. The specific date, time and instructions of the examinations will be published on the Commission’s website and media in due course.

Important Information Regarding 46th BCS Preliminary Test:

Candidates will have to participate in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Type Preliminary Test of 200 (two hundred) marks. Duration of the exam is 2 (two) hours.
There will be total 200 (two hundred) questions in this exam. Candidates will get 1 (one) mark for each correct answer. However, for wrong answers 0.50 (zero decimal five zero) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
MCQ Answer Sheet of Preliminary Test is a confidential document. It shall not be displayed to any candidate or his representative in any way and the marks of the said test shall not be displayed or given to any candidate or his representative.
There will be no opportunity for rechecking or rechecking answer sheets of the Preliminary Test.

46th BCS Preliminary Test MCQ Type Preliminary Test of 200 Marks:

Due to the large number of candidates compared to the vacant posts, the Bangladesh Public Works Commission takes the MCQ Type Preliminary Test of 200 marks as per Rule-7 of the BCS (Age, Qualification and Direct Recruitment) Rules-2014 to select the suitable candidates through the written test. Till the 34th BCS exam, preliminary test was accepted with 100 marks. According to the provisions of BCS Examination Rules-2014, MCQ Type Preliminary Test has been introduced on 10 subjects of 200 marks in 2 hours from the 35th BCS examination.
